Traditional carpet cleaners often address the carpet surface, by trying to clean the visible animal waste, leaving a much larger problem underneath the carpet-in the carpet backing and pad, the floor's subsurface and sometimes the baseboards and walls. These traditional carpet cleaners often only mask remaining odors by spreading perfumes, oils or other odor masking agents, offering only temporary results. They do this because they do not have a permanent solution for cleaning and eliminating odors.
